Welcome to The Cincinnatian Hotel

Modern Day Cincinnatian - Traditional in atmosphere and service, The Cincinnatian Hotel captures the warmth and gracious artistry of the turn of the century. Modern amenities and conveniences ensure an additional element of comfort and style. The Cincinnatian Hotel is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and remains the only small luxury hotel in the city. Keeping With The Tradition - Our fine dining room, The Palace Restaurant, took the original name of the hotel. The Cricket Lounge kept the name of the original restaurant in The Palace Hotel, while the four meeting rooms on the second floor (Filson, Denman, Ludlow and Symmes) reflect the names of the founding fathers of Cincinnati. The St. Clair room was named after the individual who, as governor of the Northwest Territory, renamed the city of Losantisville to the city of Cincinnati. The three major suites of the hotel also have a historic reference: The Emery-Presidential Suite was named after the original owners of the hotel (Thomas and Joseph Emery), The Hannaford Suite was named after its architect (Samuel Hannaford), and The Briggs Suite was named after the first general manager of the hotel(Joseph Briggs). The Maria Nichols room (229) was named after the woman who founded Rookwood Pottery in 1880. ...read more

The Queen City's modernized 1882 "classic" is the "best choice in Downtown" declare fans, who tout the "excellent" French-American Palace and "wonderful bar" for "dining on a business account"; rooms are "sedate" and tech-ready (but some still "need updating").

Convenient location, large bathroom and bathtub.
Our un-renovated room was overpriced, ice machines not located on every floor.

Conveniently located for a romantic getaway in downtown Cincinnati. It is very close to the local Theater District and excellent restaurants. However, the room we stayed in had clearly not yet been renovated. Because of this, the room had a very dated and worn-out look to it; it was definitely not worth the 4* price we paid. I definitely would not recommend paying full-price for a room at this hotel, however, for a discounted rate, I would stay at this hotel again. ...read more

The location was great and the staff were very attentive.
The valet messed up on our first night and the rooms are a little out dated.

Great dinning and bar area with wonderful entertainment. Very relaxing and great for couples or travelers.

Location.
Cost, amenities, cold water in shower.

Check in was quick, and calet parking was 28 bucks for one night, which is about 10 bucks higher than other nearby hotels. It cost 30 bucks to upgrade to a room with a king bed instead of a queen. The room was small, but the bed was quite comfortable. The mini bar pricing was insanely expensive, five dollars for bottled water, and no vending or ice machines available on our floor. Free WiFi was about the only plus. However when we awoke, we had no hot water for a shower. We alerted staff, and they said you waited to take a shower when everybody else did, there's not much we can do about it. They didn't apologize or offer any sort of discount for our cold shower. Also Breakfast cost me and my girlfriend 40 bucks for an order of pancakes, an omelet, and two orange juices. ...read more
